What if I’m a college student needing care between semesters?

For virtual visits, your psychiatrist must be licensed in the state where you’re physically located during the visit, not just where your primary residence is. This rule applies to all telehealth visits.

If you live in the same state as your school, you can continue your sessions as usual. If you’ll be in a different state during breaks, you might be able to schedule your visits around those times, or we can help find a One Behavioral psychiatrist licensed in that state. It’s best to discuss your situation with your psychiatrist in advance to find a solution that works for you.
