Can I see two psychiatrists? Or have one at One Behavioral and another elsewhere?

For your safety, we don’t treat patients who are already seeing another psychiatrist. Managing your care can be complex, and having more than one psychiatrist involved can lead to complications that may negatively impact your health.

It’s crucial to have one trusted doctor to make decisions about your care. If that’s not with us, we understand, but we want you to feel confident in your treatment.

Temporary Situations

If you’ll be in another state for an extended time but plan to continue with your One Behavioral psychiatrist long-term, inform your psychiatrist of your plans, and we can ensure your care continues smoothly.

What about a therapist or psychologist?

For many, a combination of seeing both a psychiatrist and a therapist or psychologist is effective. As long as your therapist isn’t prescribing medications, we fully support you seeing them in addition to our care.
